Our Story & Heritage
At Connolly’s Red Mills, we’ve spent over a hundred years improving animal nutrition from the ground up, and we’re not finished yet. We started our journey towards Red Mills Pet in the 1980s, when Bill Connolly began a labour of love in order to create the very best food for his own dogs, Caesar the German Pointer and Pharaoh the Springer Spaniel.
Since then, we’ve expanded around the globe, making different ranges of pet food to suit a variety of animals and their needs. We produce high quality food and treats right at home in Kilkenny, Ireland, and are proud to continue to run our family business by keeping the animal at the centre of everything that we do.

Pet Milestones
1980s
Red Mills Pet creates its very first dog food recipe.
1990s
Following the customer success after our dog food recipe was developed, the Winner range of dog food is launched.
2000s
The Leader range of dog food is developed in-house by Red Mills Pet and sold exclusively to pet stores.
2010
After success with our dog food ranges and noticing an opportunity in the market, Red Mills Pet start developing naturally wholesome dog treats and pet supplements to support the health and well-being of pets around the world.
2020
Red Mills Pet launches its super-premium Go Native Ultra dog food and treats range, a grain free, high meat, sustainably sourced ingredients diet for dogs.
